A volatile oil obtained by steam distillation of the above ground parts of the immature seeding plant Petroselinum crispum Mill (Family Apiaceae). This golden yellow oil is typical of a herb oil in that it combines the delicate features of a leaf oil with the complementary odour of seed oil. A parsley seed oil fraction is also available. Crops are harvested from January to March with stock usually available year round.
